# Using Skyp with Slack

How to connect Skyp to Slack's MCP client and use Skyp tools directly within your Slack workspace.

## Before you start

- A Skyp account with your company profile set up ( [Company settings](https://app.skyp.ai/dashboard/company)) — required before creating campaigns via MCP.
- A Slack workspace with MCP support enabled.

## Connecting Skyp to Slack

1. In Slack, open your workspace settings and navigate to the AI integrations or MCP Servers area.
2. Add a new MCP server and enter the Skyp MCP URL: `https://api.skyp.ai/mcp`
3. Slack will redirect you to a Skyp authorization page — review the requested permissions and click **Allow**.
4. Once authorized, Skyp tools will be available to AI features within your Slack workspace.

The exact location of MCP settings in Slack may vary depending on your Slack plan and version. Refer to Slack's documentation if you can't find the MCP Servers option.

## What you can do

Once Skyp is connected, Slack's AI can interact with your Skyp account. Examples:

- **Campaign updates:** Ask for a summary of active campaigns or check reply rates without leaving Slack.
- **Quick analytics:** Pull performance stats from [Analytics](https://app.skyp.ai/dashboard/analytics) mid-conversation.
- **Contact management:** Look up contact details or check do-not-contact status from [Contacts](https://app.skyp.ai/dashboard/contacts).
- **Campaign creation:** Walk through building and finalizing a campaign entirely within a Slack AI conversation.

## Things to know

- **Company profile required:** Set yours up at [Company settings](https://app.skyp.ai/dashboard/company) before creating campaigns.
- **CTAs are required:** You must add at least one Call to Action using `create_new_cta` before calling `generate_campaign_strategy` or `finalize_campaign`.
- **Active campaigns are locked:** To edit a live campaign, go to [Campaigns](https://app.skyp.ai/dashboard/campaigns), pause it first, make your changes, then resume.
- **OAuth connection:** Skyp connects via OAuth — no API key is needed. If you ever need to revoke access, go to [Integrations](https://app.skyp.ai/dashboard/integrations) in Skyp.
