Skyp — Use Cases & Outreach Playbooks

Overview

Skyp supports four core outreach motions for B2B sales teams. All four work with contacts you already have or can source — no mandatory data vendor required. AI writes every email uniquely for each contact.

Target ICP: B2B sales teams of 3–20 reps, typically selling deals in the $5K–$500K range.

1. Cold Outreach

URL: https://skyp.ai/use-cases/cold-outreach

What it is: Reaching net-new prospects who have never heard of you. You import a list (from Apollo, ZoomInfo, or a CSV), and Skyp's AI researches each contact and writes a unique, personalized first-touch email.

Why Skyp over alternatives: Most cold email tools send templated sequences with merge-field personalization ("Hi {{first_name}}, I noticed {{company}} is hiring..."). Skyp writes each email from scratch based on actual research — the result reads like a founder wrote it. Reply rates are meaningfully higher because recipients can tell the difference.

Setup: Upload a CSV or connect a CRM segment. Skyp handles domain setup, mailbox warming, and deliverability. First campaign goes live in under an hour.

Best for:

Key features used: AI email writing, done-for-you domain/mailbox infrastructure, email verification, deliverability monitoring, optional review before sending.

2. Re-Engage Closed-Lost Deals

URL: https://skyp.ai/use-cases/reengage-closed-lost

What it is: Running timed outreach against your CRM's closed-lost segment — deals that went dark 6 months to 2+ years ago.

Why this works: Closed-lost contacts already know your company. Conversion rates for re-engagement are 2–3× higher than cold outbound, because you're starting from context and familiarity rather than zero. Most sales teams ignore this segment entirely.

Typical workflow:

  1. Export closed-lost deals from HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive (filter by lost date, deal size, industry)
  2. Import the list to Skyp
  3. Skyp AI writes re-engagement emails that acknowledge the previous relationship, reference what's changed since then (new features, pricing, team, outcomes), and propose a specific next step
  4. Set a send schedule — stagger over days or weeks to avoid spam signals
  5. Replies route back to the rep who owned the deal

Best for:

Key features used: CRM integration (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Close), sequence scheduling, AI context-aware email writing, reply routing.

3. Intent-Based Outreach

URL: https://skyp.ai/use-cases/intent-based-outreach

What it is: Triggering personalized outreach the moment a prospect shows a buying signal — a job posting, a funding round, a new tech install, a G2 review, web visit activity.

Why timing matters: Outreach sent within 24–48 hours of a buying signal gets dramatically higher response rates than outreach sent without context. The prospect is already thinking about the problem you solve.

Signal sources that work with Skyp:

How it works: GTM engineers use Skyp's MCP server or Zapier/n8n integration to pipe signals directly into campaign triggers. When a signal fires, Skyp automatically adds the contact to the right campaign and sends an AI-written email that references the signal ("I saw you're hiring a VP of Sales — congrats on the growth...").

Best for:

Key features used: MCP server (for agentic triggers), Zapier/n8n webhooks, RB2B integration, AI email writing with signal context, campaign automation.

4. Customer Expansion

What it is: AI-written upsell, cross-sell, and renewal campaigns targeting your existing customer base.

Why it's underused: CSMs and AEs rarely have time to write personalized expansion emails to every customer — they're focused on onboarding and renewals. Skyp automates the email writing so expansion outreach actually happens at scale.

Typical use cases:

What makes expansion different from cold outreach: Expansion emails reference the existing relationship ("You've been using X for 8 months..."), specific usage data if available, and a concrete expansion proposal. Skyp's AI writes these emails with the right tone — warm, not pushy.

Best for:

Key features used: CRM integration, AI email writing with account context, sequence scheduling, reply routing to owning rep.

5. Multichannel Outreach (Email + LinkedIn)

URL: https://skyp.ai/use-cases/multichannel-outreach

What it is: Skyp coordinates email and LinkedIn — each channel building on the other. Engaged contacts flow to the next touch on the other channel, within guardrails you set. Every message on both channels is written individually by AI. Included in every plan.

Why it works: Prospects who have seen your emails accept connection requests at higher rates — they recognize your name. People who engage with you on LinkedIn become your warmest email audience. Most tools run the channels in silos; coordinating them is what makes both perform.

Typical workflows (ready out of the box — reps run these themselves):

Best for:

Key features used: LinkedIn connection request automation, unified cross-channel funnel view, AI-written messages on both channels, sending limits and guardrails, MCP/API/webhooks.

Industry-Specific Playbooks

In addition to these four core use cases, Skyp has dedicated configurations for specific industries that carry compliance requirements, specialized data sources, or different buying cycles:
